  • I'm 64 and had LASIK surgery several years ago. While dry eyes had been something of a problem for me prior to the surgery, the problem worsened after surgery. The solution: daily salmon oil pills. The salmon oil has worked so well that I no longer have a dry eye problem at all. For me, 2 pills daily is all I need. I understand that today LASIK surgeons frequently ask their patients to use salmon oil pills for 2 weeks prior to surgery and for 2 weeks following surgery. I'm told that with that regimen, often the dry eye situation doesn't develop after surgery at all Even with the need for salmon oil, I vote for LASIK; I love my new vision!
